Diamedix Corporation and its forerunner, Cordis Laboratories, have been on the leading edge of medical diagnostic technologies for more than a quarter century. Throughout the years, Diamedix has continued to pioneer unique immunodiagnostic innovations in its products, procedures, and in the development of integrated instrument and reagent systems for both autoimmune and infectious disease detection. Today, Diamedix maintains its tradition of developing product systems designed specifically to simplify and improve diagnostic testing in ways that enhance efficiency and accuracy, while promoting economy.Diamedix is a subsidiary of IVAX Diagnostics, Inc., which is a public company traded on the American Stock Exchange under the symbol IVD. IVAX Diagnostics consists of Diamedix and its sister companies, Delta Biologicals S.r.l. and ImmunoVision, Inc. Our affiliation with these companies has allowed us to further strengthen our commitment to quality medical diagnostic technologies.
Delta Biologicals, our laboratory instrumentation and software affiliate, developed the Mago® Plus EIA Analyzer that is used in conjunction with the new Diamedix immunosimplicity® (Is®)Test Kits.
ImmunoVision, our other affiliate, the world leader in antigen production for autoimmune testing, provides us with the critical raw materials that form the foundation for many of our tests. These affiliations have allowed us the unique opportunity to design our own superior quality test kits, using only the finest materials, and to produce a single integrated reagent system with our EIA instrumentation and software. These innovations and integrated systems allow us to deliver the BEST and most complete solution for automated immunology testing to our customers.
The immunosimplicity (Is®) products consistently incorporate overall increased sensitivity and specificity with improved ease-of-use and quality reagent formulations, all of which combine to provide reliable, accurate results with even greater efficiency and cost effectiveness. Although the Is® products may be assayed manually, their intended use is in tandem with the Diamedix instrumentation - bringing another level of convenience, ease and flexibility in EIA testing to the laboratory with true "walkaway" capability. As a further hallmark of quality, and to provide the added assurance of product and instrument performance, Diamedix tests are also FDA cleared through the 510(k) process for both manual and automated methods, and comparable results (as seen in the package inserts) have been obtained for each method and for all tests.Our unique perspective allows Diamedix to continue to be a pioneer in future outstanding achievements in diagnostic and immunology testing.
